Electrical and Test are OZEV approved installers for Electric Vehicle Car Chargers.  This means in some circumstances I can get you a £350 discount per charger that I install, which is paid for by the government.

To qualify for this grant you must be either an employer providing charging points in the workplace or you must live in rental accommodation or own and live in a flat.

I am approved to install chargers by several manufactures and can supply the correct charger for your needs, whether you need full integration with your microgeneration system, a normal smart system, a no frills charger for your second home or a setup for your employees and fleet to use in the workplace, I will have a solution to suit you.

I increasingly find that the national companies make big claims of how cheaply they can install an EV charger, these prices are generally for very simple and fast to install jobs where the charger is inches away from the electricity meter and even then you get what you pay for.

The quote I will give you will be a realistic one taking into account the particular circumstances of the installation.  These are not one size fits all jobs and the industry is rife with installers doing fast corner cut jobs to try and make a living.  So my price may not be the cheapest but it will be the best!

Talking of the best, my go to charger these days is the Zappi by Myenergi.  It really is a fantastic piece of kit, I highly recommend them and if you have or are going to have solar panels they are an absolute no brainer!

A warning before you buy from the big national companies.

Certain national companies are installing EV chargers at ridiculously cheap prices.

Cheaper than I can even buy the chargers.

I don't know what they are installing at a loss unless they are making the money back some other way, and I'm sure installations will have to be rushed to make the strategy pay.

It brings to mind an old saying:

"The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten."
